The love for packaging

I’ve always loved packaging and organising. Even as a child, I was never one to rip the paper off a present. I enjoyed savouring the process of opening the layers of packaging and I think that was half the joy.

I decided very early on that part of of my branding was the best packaging that I could offer and believe in. My kickstarter through which I started my journey began with innovative, reusable packaging for my scarf. This endeavour continues and Im always re inventing the best way to package my work that is long lasting and reusable.I still work with the same charity M.Rm.Rm Foundation in the south of India, who made the very first Palmyra box for my scarf. I grew this concept by adding to my packaging information that I know I look for whoever I buy a gift for myself or anybody else. I added Information about the material, where it was made and the quality. Transparency as to where the packaging came from and how it was processed was paramount. This was a wonderful way of it being a part of the customer’s experience. It was a long lasting method of staying in the customer’s memory. Added to this, the emotion that arises from supporting a good cause through a purchase left the customer feeling doubly satisfied..

A small business has the opportunity to draw the customer into their inner circle by making them a part of the process of product. I’ve found that this is very valuable and I continue to refine and add to this process everyday.
